Running a test order is an important step to making sure that your shop is integrated with your Refersion account and that orders are tracking properly. We highly advise that you take these steps to make sure that affiliates are credited appropriately.

If you prefer, you can watch the video below for a short demo of how to do this:

From your Refersion Dashboard, click on Perform Test Order

Choose an affiliate to test with. You should be listed as an affiliate in Refersion, so try using your own link and then click on Get Test Link. Test orders always show up as pending, so you can deny the commission.

We highly recommend running test orders using Incognito mode in Chrome. This ensures there are no previous cookies that can interfere with order tracking. You can easily get to this by right-clicking on Go To Link and choosing Open Link in Incognito Window. Also, please ensure that your incognito window is NOT blocking tracking.

Note: Safari Private Browsing is not suitable for running test orders.

Note that you actually need to place an order. You can create a 99% off coupon code for yourself if you wish, and you can cancel and refund the order after testing is done.

Once you have placed the order you should see it come through in your Refersion account. To check, go to Manage > Conversions. That's all there is to it! You are now ready to recruit affiliates and have them promote your products.

NOTE: It may take up to 10 minutes to show up. If you are still not seeing the order populate after about an hour, shoot us an email and we'd be happy to help!  Also, note that test orders do not count against your affiliate order limit, and that they will always come in as a pending conversion regardless of your settings.
