Overview
There are several pages you can use to add a client:
Firm Dashboard (using either the Client List or Client By Tax Year tab)
Any of the yearly client lists (e.g. 2021 Client List)
To add a client, begin by selecting navigating to one of the pages listed above. Once there, press the Add a Client button to launch the Create a New Client popup.
After filling out the appropriate details press the green Save button.
After pressing Save you will receive a confirmation the new user was created.
Client Attributes
Client Name: The name of the client
Client Number: Your internal client identifier
Client Type: The type of client to add. Note: This selection will control what account types are available to map.
Signer: The employee responsible for signing the file. This will contain a dropdown the firm users.
Contact: The employee serving as the contact for the file. This will contain a dropdown the firm users.
Tax Year: The tax year of the initial file. Note: Please select the first year you intend to prepare using regroupTAX. As you finish files for previous years, new files will be created for subsequent years.
Period: The start and end dates for the file
