Set up the camera once and every photo comes out the way you want. Pick your photo quality and shape, choose whether photos get a date, time, and location stamp, and decide if a copy also goes to your phone's photo library.
Open the camera settings
Open the camera on a project.
Tap the gear icon at the top of the right side of the camera.
The Settings sheet opens. RelayCam remembers what you choose.
Photo Quality
Option | Best for |
Lightning | Smallest photos and fastest uploads. Use it when you're worried about data or a weak signal. |
High Resolution | A balance of detail, size, and speed. This is the default and works well for most jobs. |
Ultra HD | The most detail and the biggest files. Photos take longer to upload. |
Aspect Ratio
Tap 4:3 for a standard photo shape or 16:9 for a taller, widescreen shape. The default is 16:9.
Show Location/Time Stamp
When this is on, RelayCam prints the date and time on every photo, and the GPS coordinates too when your phone can get a location. It's useful proof of when and where work was done. It's on by default.
The stamp is part of the photo. It's printed in the bottom right corner and can't be removed later. Stamps are added to photos only, not videos. To take photos without a stamp, turn this off before you shoot.
When the stamp is on, you also get two more settings:
Setting | Choices |
Stamp Size | Small, Medium (default), or Large |
Stamp Style | Classic (default) is white text with a shadow. Bold Banner puts the text on a dark banner so it's easy to read on bright photos. |
Save to Device Camera Roll
Turn this on to also keep a copy of each photo in your phone's photo library. It's off by default. The first time you turn it on, your phone asks for permission to save to your photo library. Tap allow.
Troubleshooting
What you see | What to do |
"Adding Location to Photos" | Keep RelayCam open for a few seconds while it adds where each photo was taken, then your photos are ready to post. |
"Photo library access required" | Allow photo access for RelayCam in your phone's Settings, then turn on Save to Device Camera Roll again. |
"Couldn't save to gallery" | Check that RelayCam has photo library access and that your phone has free storage. |
