Updated over 4 months ago

Once you’ve uploaded your video to Rembrand, you can leverage Rembrand AI Studio to add a virtual placement to your video. With AI Studio, creators have flexibility to determine where and how the placement appears within their video before it is posted to social channels.

Here's a quick interactive demo on how to add placement to your video scene:

And, here's a video on the various ways to generate a placement:

Alternatively, if you prefer to read, here are the written steps:

  1. Within My Library, find your video and select AI Studio.

  2. When you enter AI Studio you will be taken to the Placement screen where you can choose a virtual object and decide where you want to place it in your video scene.

If you click Add Custom Virtual Objects you'll find there are several options for choosing a virtual object:

    • Generate a Virtual Object: Enter a prompt, and the AI will generate a custom virtual object for you.

    • Customize a Template: Use our creative templates to design a custom virtual object. You can choose the images to display within the object.

    • Browse Virtual Objets Catalog: Explore our extensive library of over 5,000 ready-to-use 3D models to find the perfect object for your scene.

    • Create a Framed Poster: Upload an image to generate a realistic 3D framed poster, ideal for adding branded or decorative content to your scene.

    • Upload a Virtual Object (GLB): Import your own 3D model in GLB format and seamlessly integrate it into your project.

    • Generate a Virtual Object from a Product Link: Paste an e-commerce product link to automatically generate a 3D model of the item.

You can click My Virtual Objects at any time to quickly access all the virtual objects you've created.

Once you've selected a virtual object, use the tools located under the source preview to fine tune the placement so that it looks perfect in your video scene.

Enable a bounding box around the object to assist with precise positioning, scaling and alignment.

View a 3D grid to help align the object with the surface plane.

    Show AI-suggested placements.

Adjust the 3D rotation to align the object with the surface plane.

Draw on the video scene where you want the object to appear, then describe the object you'd like the AI to generate.

Start with a blank canvas and remove the object from the scene.

Disable lock orientation to freely rotate the object in any direction.

View the placement and source preview in full screen.

If the placement becomes too large or too small, click the Reset button to revert to the original size.

  3. On the Animation screen, you have the option to add a visual element to the placement. Click on Animations or Effects to see what options are available.

    • Animations: Adds movement or transition to the placement.

    • Effects: Alters the appearance of the placement in a more instant or dramatic way without moving it.

Once you are satisfied, click Next.

  4. On the Lighting screen, choose the placement lighting option that best matches your scene. Then click Next.

  5. On the Preview screen, we will generate a video preview so you can see how the virtual object will appear in the scene. Enjoy some trivia while you wait 😄 If everything looks good, click Next to start the final rendering process.

  6. On the final Render screen, click Render.

A box will pop up asking you to select the video editing tool where the placement asset will be inserted. MP4/MOV will be selected by default, but you can choose a specific video editing tool if preferred. With MP4/MOV, the virtual placement is automatically included in the final video clip. If you select a specific video editing tool, you'll receive the individual object asset files to add to the video timeline within your editing software. Once you've chosen your preferred option, click Start Rendering.

  7. You may close your browser, and you will receive an email notification when rendering is complete.
