How do I invite friends and family?

Turn your loved one's story into a family journey by inviting family and friends to collaborate and help choose meaningful prompts together.

Updated yesterday

You can invite collaborators via email or by sharing a link. Collaborators can view stories, record stories, suggest prompts, and send reactions. They'll need to create their own free account to participate.

How to invite collaborators

Method 1: Email Invitation

1. Open the Invite Screen: Look for the "Invite" button in the upper-right corner of any Remento screen. Tap to open the sharing options

  2. Add Email Addresses: Type each collaborator's email address, and include a personal message explaining why you'd like them to participate

Method 2: Share Link

  1. Generate the Link: From the invite screen, tap "Copy link" in the bottom-right corner. The link is automatically copied to your device

  2. Share Everywhere: Text the link to family group chats, post it in family Facebook groups, or email it to multiple people at once

Creating an Account and Completing the Onboarding Process

Once your family members receive the collaborator invite, they’ll need to create their own accounts and complete the onboarding process to access and participate in their storyteller’s storytelling account.

  1. Click the invitation link you received via email or text

  2. Tap "Get started" on the welcome screen

  3. Complete the account creation process by adding your name and email address

💡Please note that the collaborators must create their own accounts to access and participate in your storytelling project. To learn more, check out 🔗 Getting Started as a Collaborator.

Why Invite Collaborators?

Remento becomes exponentially more meaningful when your entire family participates in the storytelling journey. Here's what makes collaboration special:

🎯 Enhanced Story Discovery: Multiple family members can suggest prompts that uncover different aspects of your storyteller's life—childhood memories from siblings, career stories from colleagues, or family traditions from grandchildren.

💕 Immediate Connection: When your storyteller records a memory, all collaborators receive it instantly, creating shared moments of discovery and connection across the family.

📚 Richer Final Book: Stories prompted by different family members often reveal unique perspectives and forgotten memories that wouldn't emerge otherwise.
