Why Do My Manual Profile Changes Keep Reverting? (Roster Feed Override Behaviour)

Explains why manual profile changes can be overwritten when a brokerage has enabled feed override on their Roster Feed, and what to do instead.

Why did my manual change disappear?

If your brokerage has a dedicated automatic Roster Feed, and your brokerage has specifically enabled the feed's override functionality (this is not turned on by default), Renowned will treat the feed as the source of truth for the fields listed below. This means:

  • Any manual change to one of these fields, made directly on Renowned, will be overwritten the next time the feed syncs, for offices with override enabled.

  • This is expected behaviour, not a bug, for offices that have opted into override. It's designed to keep these fields automatically in sync with your brokerage's system of record, rather than have them silently conflict on every sync.

  • If your brokerage has a Roster Feed but override has not been enabled, manual changes to these fields should persist normally.

Which fields does this affect?

Override only applies to the following fields:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Phone

  • Mobile

  • Email

  • Website

  • Background Colour

  • Text Colour

  • Twitter

  • LinkedIn

  • Facebook

  • Instagram

  • Languages

  • Summary (bio)

  • Profile Image

Any field not on this list is unaffected by override and can be edited on Renowned as normal.

What should I do instead?

  • Check with your brokerage admin whether override is enabled. If it is, make the change at the source system your Roster Feed pulls from, and it will sync through to Renowned.

  • Only your brokerage admin can request that override be turned on or off, by contacting our Customer Support team. This isn't a self-serve toggle, and it can't be enabled or disabled agent by agent. Support will escalate the request to our developers to action, and the change applies to all agents under that brokerage's roster, not just one individual.
