Not Requesting a Review? What You Should Know

Understand the implications of not requesting a review for your sale

Updated over 3 months ago

In the world of real estate, maintaining a strong online presence is vital for building trust and credibility with potential clients. One key component of that presence is the ability to request reviews after a successful transaction. However, there may be times when you're unable to request a review for a sale, and it’s important to understand what that means and how to handle the situation.

Why Can’t Sales Be Removed?

Generally, sales cannot be removed from your profile. The sales history on your profile serves as an accurate reflection of the number of transactions you've completed and the details of those transactions. As a result, the review opportunity associated with those sales cannot be removed either.

Key Considerations When Reviews Aren't Requested

  • Sales History Accuracy:
It's important for your profile to display an accurate record of your sales. This transparency helps build trust with consumers who rely on your transaction history to gauge your experience and professionalism.

  • Sales Count Toward Awards:
While reviews-to-sales ratio is a factor in performance metrics, sales themselves weigh heavily when it comes to our awards calculation. So even if you can't request a review for a specific sale, rest assured that your sales performance still counts in your favor for award eligibility.

  • One Review Shouldn’t Make a Big Difference:
If you're gathering reviews for as many properties as possible, the lack of a review for a single property shouldn’t significantly affect your overall reputation or standing. The broader picture of your work will still shine through.

Trusted Agent Badge and Review Requirements

It's also important to note that the Trusted Agent badge has specific criteria that must be met to earn and maintain it. Unfortunately, there is no way to bypass these rules.

For the Trusted Agent Badge:

  • A vendor review must be requested for all sales where you were the lead agent. Similarly, if you were the buyer’s agent, a buyer review must be requested for those sales as well.

If a review has been previously requested and the client subsequently unsubscribes, the badge will still be awarded provided that all vendor review requests were sent for all sales.

Conclusion

While it can be frustrating not to be able to request a review for every sale, it’s essential to remember that your overall sales history and the effort you put into gathering reviews across multiple properties will ultimately contribute to your success. Focus on maintaining a consistent track record of positive transactions and reviews, and be sure to reach out to customer support if you have any specific concerns or questions regarding special cases.
