Discover RateMyAgent: Australia's Leading Real Estate Review Platform

About RateMyAgent

Launched in June 2014, RateMyAgent has grown to become Australia's largest real estate agent review platform, trusted by consumers and industry professionals alike. In 2025 alone, Australians left more than 140,000 verified reviews on the platform.

RateMyAgent is the consumer-facing platform of Renowned (ASX: RMY), which operates in New Zealand and the United States.

What makes a RateMyAgent review different

Every review on RateMyAgent is verified and linked to a real property transaction.

Only people directly involved in that transaction; the buyer or the seller, can leave a review, and each review is tied to the specific property it relates to.

That means:

  • No anonymous reviews

  • No agents reviewing other agents

  • You can see the property behind the review, not just a star rating

As a buyer or seller, you can leave a review of an agent whether or not they request it. For an agent to request a review, they must first confirm a property has been sold. At this stage, vendors whose property didn't sell aren't able to leave a review, because there's no completed transaction to verify it against.

Compare agents on more than just reviews

RateMyAgent goes beyond star ratings. Our agent and agency rankings let you research and compare local agents on the measures that matter to you:

  • Number of properties sold

  • Total sales value

  • Average sale price

  • Average days on market

  • Client ratings and recommendations

  • Transparency: agents that request reviews for every sale (not just some) are more likely to win awards and ‘Trusted Agent’ badges

You can filter by suburb and property type, so you're comparing agents on their track record where you're actually buying or selling.

Where you'll see RateMyAgent reviews

Reviews don't just live on ratemyagent.com.au. Depending on the agent's subscription, verified RateMyAgent reviews can also appear on:

  • Domain.com.au — through our partnership with Domain, recent verified recommendations appear on participating agent and agency profiles

  • Google — including the agent's Google Business Profile and search results

  • The agent's own website, social profiles and marketing

Wherever you see them, they're the same verified, transaction-linked reviews.

The RateMyAgent Awards

Each year we recognise Australia's most recommended agents, agencies and mortgage brokers at the RateMyAgent Awards.

Unlike most industry awards, winners are determined by verified customer feedback, not sales volume or marketing spend. Our Awards highlight agents that maintain a high review-to-sale ratio, rewarding them for their commitment to client service and transparent feedback. The results are independently reviewed by global accounting firm RSM.

Leaving your own review

If you've bought or sold a property in the last 12 months, you can leave a review, whether or not your agent asks you to. Head to ratemyagent.com.au, find your agent's profile, and select the option to leave a review. There's no account or sign-up required.

We'll verify your identity using your name, mobile number and email address. Make sure the name you use matches the name on your contract of sale.

Using RateMyAgent is free for consumers. We're an independent platform, and we don't accept payment to change, remove or reorder reviews.
