Connecting your Google Business Page
Step 1: Log into your profile, navigate to Google Reviews, click Connect
Alternatively, you can navigate through the Social Media Manager for similar connections.
Step 2: You will see a screen with instructions on how Google will connect to your Renowned profile. If you have your Google account already set up, then you can click on the 'Connect' button. If you haven't got a Google Business Profile, then you can click on the 'Create a Google Business Profile' button to get that set up first before connecting it to your profile.
For more assistance with creating a Google Business Profile, click here. Note: Ensure you have admin access to the Google Business Profile for the connection to succeed.
Admin Access Requirement: Make sure you are logged in with the Google account that has admin rights to your Google Business Profile. If you’re unsure which Google account to use, log out of all accounts in your browser and log in with the correct admin account before proceeding.
If you do not have your own Google Business Profile or prefer not to use it, consider using an agency's profile for connection. Centralized management via the agency's profile can simplify the process for agents.
Step 3: Select if the account is correct, or click 'Use another account to enter your Google My Business account details. Ensure that your login credentials correspond to the Google account associated with your business to avoid connection issues.
Troubleshooting Tip: If you experience issues, log out of all Google accounts and sign back in using the account with admin access. Make sure no other Google accounts are logged in to avoid conflicts. You can also log into your Google account separately outside of Renowned to verify your credentials before reconnecting. If the issue persists, check for any single-profile limitations on your account.
Step 4: Renowned will request access to manage your Google Business Profile
account. Click Continue to the next page.
Step 5: Select the Google Business Profile location you want to manage. If Google has managed to verify your location, then it will connect successfully. If the correct location does not appear, verify your business profile on Google and ensure the address information matches exactly with your Renowned profile. Additional Tip: Pay close attention to formatting consistency in the address (e.g., "St" vs. "Street," punctuation, or spacing) between your Renowned profile and Google Business Profile to prevent verification issues.
If the location isn't verified, a pop-up will appear notifying you that the address needs further verification from Google. Click on the Verify my location on Google link on the steps to verify your location. Check for any discrepancies in address formatting, such as extra spaces or punctuation, and correct them in your Google Business Profile. Allow a few days for changes to sync. Advanced Troubleshooting: If basic verification steps fail, disconnect your Google Business Profile from Renowned in the settings, and reconnect it to refresh permissions. Ensure Google account permissions are active and updates are synced.
Google’s verification process for updating locations typically takes several days, so please allow some time for these changes to reflect.
Switching Profiles: To change your connected Google Business Profile, navigate to Social Media Posts, disconnect the current profile, and reconnect with the desired account.
If the issue continues, please consider creating screen recordings or taking screenshots of the steps you follow, then share these with the support team for more tailored assistance.
