Importing an existing review (and getting it verified)

Importing an existing review (and getting it verified)

Importing External Reviews to Your Profile

You can import reviews from other platforms (like Realtor.com or Real Satisfied -USA) directly to your profile.

Important: Imported reviews will display on your profile immediately but will not count toward your star rating, stats, or achievements until the client completes the verification process.

How to Import Reviews

  • From Realtor.com (USA): Locate the review on Realtor.com and ensure you link it to the correct property address during the import process.

  • From Real Satisfied (USA): This requires a manual process. Contact the Renowned support team for assistance.

  • From Client Emails/Private Surveys (NPS): You cannot upload a review on a client's behalf. Instead, initiate an import request through your profile. For private surveys, ensure the client explicitly approves it (e.g., CC them when submitting the email request to our Customer Support).

The Verification Process

To protect platform integrity, imported reviews require client verification to become official.

  • Client Action Required: The client must open the verification email, click the link, and select their star rating.

  • Alternative Emails: If a client cannot use their primary email to verify, they can use an alternative address (such as a family member's).

  • Troubleshooting: If a review is missing from your stats, double-check that the client completed every step in the verification email.

Managing Pending Requests

If you want to import a review but already have a pending request out for that property:

  • Archive the pending request instead of stopping reminder emails.

  • Stopping reminders will unsubscribe the client entirely. Archiving clears the queue while allowing you to use that same email address for the import verification.

How to Import a review

1. Log into your agent profile and select 'Reviews' then select the 'Import' tab. From here, simply search for the property you want to attach to the existing review.

For US: Log into your agent profile and select 'Reviews' then select the 'Import' tab, then select Add Existing Reviews For Realtor.com reviews, ensure you locate them in the import section and link them to the correct property before completing the process.

2. Once you have selected the property, fill out the review based on the review provided to you by your client, including the date it was provided to you.

Pro Tip: You may use the street number or street name when searching for the property

3. Simply fill in your client's name, email, and phone number, and then select Verify & Publish Review.

Clients who claim to have already verified should ensure they completed every step, including selecting a star rating and submitting agreement to terms.

For reviews where the original email is flagged or unavailable, consider using an alternative, unflagged email address, such as a family member's, for finalizing verification.

Vendors will receive an email with a verification link to confirm the review, select a star rating, and agree to the platform's terms. Completing all steps is critical for verified status. If persistently unverified, ensure system tagging is correct or contact RateMyAgent support for further help.

Verify Now - Your client will receive an email to immediately verify the review you added (and optional SMS if you're on a subscription!) These reviews will be published on the RateMyAgent website, but won't be counted in your star rating or for stats and achievements until your client verifies the review via the email or SMS. If you are on a subscription and your Google Business Profile is connected, your client will also be prompted to leave the review on your Google Business Profile once they accept verification For private surveys, client approval through verification is mandatory before the review can contribute to your stats and achievements.

Verify Later - Review will be published on the RateMyAgent website, but won't be counted in your star rating or counted for stats and achievements.

Note: During the vendor verification process, they will be required to select a star rating and accept the terms of the platform. This ensures transparency and accuracy in the review process.

Tip: You can select Verify Later if you do not want to send the request to your client straight away.

Frequently asked questions

  • What if I had a flagged review?

When importing reviews that were previously flagged, please be aware that the associated phone numbers were also flagged. As a result, you will no longer be able to send a verification email linked to those phone numbers.

When importing such reviews, you have two options:

  1. Omit the phone number when importing the review, or

  2. Contact your client to provide an alternative phone number to include in the verification request.

If your client does not have any other phone number, you may skip adding a number on the request.

  • Why is there no star rating on the imported review?

Your clients are the ones who will fill in the star rating. They will have the opportunity to choose the star rating when they verify their review.

  • What if my client selected the wrong star rating?

After verifying the review, your clients will receive an email containing a link to edit their review if they desire to make any changes. This link can also be used to update the star rating. If they prefer, they can also reach out to our customer support team using the same email address used to submit the review, and our team will update the star rating for them.

If you encounter any issues, contact the Renowned by RateMyAgent support team at support@renowned.com (AU/NZ) or help@renowned.com (US) for assistance.
