How long does the application take, and what should I have ready?

Most applicants finish in 10 minutes or less. Here's everything to have ready so you can move through it quickly.

Most applicants complete the application in 10 minutes or less. Having the right info ready before you start makes it faster.

What to have ready

  • A government-issued photo ID — driver's license, state ID, U.S. passport, or permanent resident card

  • Your Social Security Number or ITIN, if you have one

  • Your current address and how long you've lived there

  • Your employer or income source info — name, job title, monthly income, and how long you've been there

For income verification, one of:

  • Bank login — fastest if your pay is direct-deposited into your account

  • Payroll login — works if your employer uses a major payroll provider (Gusto, ADP, Paychex, Workday, BambooHR, etc.)

  • Income documents — pay stubs, tax returns, 1099 forms, or a benefit letter

For rental history (if your application includes it)

  • Your current landlord or property manager's name and phone number

  • Your monthly rent

  • Your move-in date

Optional, depending on the property

  • Cosigner info (name, email, phone)

  • Occupant info — people who'll live with you

  • Vehicle and pet details

  • A payment method for the application fee

You don't need everything before you start — you can pause and come back. But having it ready cuts down on interruptions while you're in the flow.
