📅 How to Extend a Customer’s Rental

Extending a rental is easy with the new calendar setup. Change return dates or times and charge the customer all in one place

  1. 🚛 Go to the Calendars tab
    Navigate to Calendars and make sure you are set to Rentals view.

  2. 👤 Find the customer booking
    Locate the customer you want to modify and click on their name.

  3. ✏️ Open the edit screen
    Click the pencil icon in the top right corner to open the calendar edit view.

  4. 📆 Adjust the rental dates
    Extend the rental by changing the end date (example: from the 15th to the 16th).

  5. 💰 Review updated payment details
    The system will automatically update the payment summary to reflect any additional charges.

  6. 💳 Collect payment for the difference (if needed)
    Go to Actions → Collect Payment, then:

    • Select Payment Now to charge the card on file

    • Review total paid vs remaining balance

    • Click Collect Payment

  7. 💾 Save changes
    Click Save Changes to finalize the update.

💡 Pro Tip
When extending rentals, always use the Collect Payment option to immediately settle any additional charges. This keeps invoices accurate and ensures no outstanding balances are left open.
