Locate Enable Security Deposits.βοΈ Choose your deposit method
You have two options:Charge up front β Customer is charged and later refunded manually
Card hold on file β Funds are held as a security deposit hold

Charge up front: You refund the customer after return (merchant fees are not recovered)
Card hold: You can charge against the held amount after return if needed
Holds are typically released automatically within 2β3 business days after return

Upfront charge = slower refund process for customer + merchant fees still apply
Card hold = faster release and more seamless experience for both sides
