Troubleshooting Identity Verification
If Rentdrop is unable to verify your identity on the first attempt, you will be asked to submit some information again including your full SSN, your driver's license, or other identifying documents.
After the first identity verification attempt:
If you have entered the Rentdrop app, you will see a card on the home screen to resume your identity verification.
If you are still in the identity verification process, tap Continue on the screen saying “Welp! Looks like we need more information to verify your identity” to retry
Enter your legal first and last name and tap the forward arrow to continue.
Enter your date of birth and tap the forward arrow to continue.
Enter your address and tap the forward arrow to continue.
Enter your full SSN and tap the forward arrow to continue.
If the identity verification is successful, you will see a success page and you can tap Continue to begin using Rentdrop.
If Rentdrop is still unable to verify your identity, you will be asked to provide an image of your U.S. drivers license or passport.
Tap Continue on the page saying “We were unable to verify your identity”.
Click the Drivers License card ****to upload an image of your drivers license
To upload an image of your passport click Upload Passport Instead then click the Passport card
Click Upload from library to upload a picture or Take a photo to take a new image and upload it.
After the image has been uploaded click Continue.
If Rentdrop is able to verify your identity, you can tap Continue to begin using the app. This process can take up to 2 days. You can enable notifications and view the status on the home screen.
If Rentdrop is unable to verify your identity after 2 days, please contact Support by tapping the Profile Icon in the top left of the home page > then tap Support to begin a new chat or email email@example.com
