How is my financial information used in the assessment?

What Rentmigo does with your financial documents and what it is looking for.

Written by Joe Wigoder

What Rentmigo checks

Rentmigo reviews your bank statements to confirm:

  • That the account holder matches the name provided by the tenant

  • That the balance demonstrates sufficient liquidity to cover your rent liability. Each application is assessed on a case by case basis. We recommend demonstrating your strongest financial position for a fast turnaround.

  • Savings across multiple accounts and contributors, such as family members, can be combined to meet the required threshold.

  • Tenants must provide original bank statements for three consecutive months for all contributors.

  • The combined lowest balance across these accounts must meet the required threshold.

What this is not

This is not a full affordability assessment of your personal finances. Rentmigo is not assessing your income, expenditure, or creditworthiness in the way a guarantor would be assessed. The review is limited to confirming that there is a credible layer of financial support behind the tenant's application.

Who sees your information

Your financial documents are reviewed by Rentmigo's acceptance team only. They are not shared with the landlord, the letting agent, or any other third party outside of the assessment process.
