Overview
Instagram is where many patients first find your practice. This article walks you through it step by step. First you add your Ageless link to your bio. Then you announce it with a post and a Story. Then you keep pointing patients to it in everything you share. By the end, every visitor will have a simple way to try your Ageless AI flow and see their own visualization.
Why It Matters
Most people who land on your profile are curious but not ready to call. They scroll, then they move on. When your Ageless link is easy to find, you give those patients a low-pressure way to engage. They take a photo, see their own preview, and come back warmer and more ready to book.
This protects the marketing money you already spend. It turns quiet profile visitors into patients in your dashboard. And it works around the clock, even when your front desk is closed.
One thing to know up front. On Instagram, links in post captions and Reels are not clickable. Your bio link is your main clickable spot. So every post should send patients to the link in your bio. We will cover that below.
Step 1: Add Your Ageless Link to Your Bio
Your bio link is the most important spot on your profile. You can add it two ways. Pick the one that fits you. You can edit bio links from the Instagram mobile app.
Option A: Add the Link Right in Your Bio
Instagram lets you add up to five links in your bio.
Open the Instagram app and go to your profile.
Tap Edit Profile.
Tap Links, then tap Add external link.
Enter your Ageless link and give it a clear label like "AI Try On."
Tap Done to save.
You can find your link anytime in the Marketing tab of your Ageless dashboard.
Option B: Use a Link-in-Bio Tool Like Linktree
If you want to share more than one link, a tool like Linktree holds them all on one page. You add that single page link to your bio. Visitors tap it and pick from your menu.
Create a free Linktree (or similar) page.
Add your Ageless link as a button at the top, labeled "AI Try On."
Copy your Linktree URL and add it to your bio using the steps in Option A.
Put your Ageless link first or near the top so it gets the most taps. Now your link is set up. The next step is to make some noise about it.
Step 2: Announce Ageless With a Post
Tell your patients you offer AI try ons. You do not have to start from scratch. Your Marketing tab has ready-made graphics and captions built for this.
Go to the Marketing tab in your Ageless dashboard.
Pick a graphic and caption that fit your practice and download.
Post it to your grid, and remind patients the link is in your bio.
This is the post that lets your followers know the tool exists and invites them to try it.
Step 3: Create an Announcement Reel
Reels get pushed to people who do not follow you yet, which makes them one of the best ways to introduce your AI Try On tool to a brand new audience. You have two options: use ready-made video content from your Ageless dashboard, or film something yourself.
Option A: Use Video Content from the Marketing Tab
Go to the Marketing tab in your Ageless dashboard.
Download a pre-made Reel video from the video content library.
Open the Instagram app and tap + Create Reel.
Upload the video from your camera roll.
Add the suggested caption from the Marketing tab, and include a call to action like "Link in bio to try it on yourself."
Add relevant hashtags, then tap Share.
Option B: Film Your Own Reel
If you prefer a personal, in-office feel, record a short 15 to 30 second clip introducing your AI Try On tool. Keep it simple: show the tool in action, explain what it does in one sentence, and end with "Try it yourself. Link in our bio."
Film your clip using your phone's camera or directly inside Instagram.
Open the Instagram app and tap + Create Reel.
Upload or record your clip, trim it, and add any text overlays or music.
Write a caption that invites patients to try the tool, and remind them the link is in your bio.
Tap Share.
Either way, Reels loop automatically and can surface in the Explore feed, giving your tool visibility well beyond your existing followers.
Step 4: Add a Collaborator to Reach Two Audiences
Here is a simple way to double your reach. The Invite Collaborator feature puts one post on two grids at once. Add a staff member or provider as a collaborator, and the post shows up for their followers too. You do nothing extra.
Create your post (this works on feed posts and Reels).
On the final screen, tap Tag People.
Tap Invite Collaborator.
Search for your staff member or provider and select them.
Share the post.
Your collaborator gets a request. Once they accept, the post appears on both profiles and reaches both audiences.
A few notes. The collaborator's account must be public for this to work. You can add collaborators to feed posts and Reels, but not to Stories. You can even add a collaborator after a post is live by editing it.
Step 5: Announce With a Story and Add Your Link
A post lives on your grid. A Story sits at the top of the app and feels personal. A Link Sticker lets patients tap straight through to your tool. Any account can use it.
Tap your profile photo or tap + Create Story at the top of your feed.
Choose a photo or video from your camera roll, or save one from the Marketing tab.
Tap the Sticker icon (the smiley face) at the top.
Select the Link sticker and paste your Ageless link.
Change the sticker text to something clear like "AI Try On."
Tap Share to publish your Story.
Step 6: Save Your Story as a Highlight
Stories disappear after 24 hours. A Highlight keeps your Story on your profile for good. Highlights sit right under your bio, above your grid, so new visitors often see them first.
Open your live Story.
Tap Highlight at the bottom of the screen.
Tap New to create a Highlight, then name it something clear like "AI Try On."
Tap Add (iPhone) or Done (Android).
Tip: do not delete the Story before 24 hours, or it may not save. Your Highlight now greets every visitor at the top of your profile.
Step 7: Add a Call to Action to Every Future Post
So far you have set up your link and made a few big posts. The last step keeps it going. Add a short call to action to everything you share. Since Instagram captions are not clickable, point patients to the link in your bio.
Here are examples by post type:
Before and after post: "Like what you see? Preview your own possibilities. Link in our bio."
Event post: "Can't make the event live? Try on treatments right from home with our clinical AI Try On tool. Tap the link in our bio."
Treatment description post: "Try it on now. Link in our bio."
Promotion post: "Get a preview before you buy. Link in our bio."
Best Practices and Pro Tips
Use every spot. Your bio link, your Story, your Highlight, and your collaborator posts each catch a different visitor.
Lead with the Marketing tab. The graphics and captions there are built to invite patients in, so you do not have to write copy from scratch.
Always say "link in bio." Captions are not clickable, so tell patients exactly where to tap.
Refresh your Story often. Stories disappear after 24 hours. Post a new one each week and save your best ones as Highlights.
Keep your call to action soft. Words like "preview," "see," and "explore" invite patients in. Pushy words push them away.
FAQs
Why is my link not clickable in my caption?
Instagram does not make caption or Reel links clickable. Put your link in your bio, then tell patients "link in bio" in the caption.
I do not see the Links section when editing my profile.
Make sure your Instagram app is updated, and edit from the mobile app. The Links section sits below your bio text on the Edit Profile screen.
Where do I find my link and graphics?
Both live in the Marketing tab of your Ageless dashboard. Your link is ready to copy, and the graphics and captions are ready to post.
Can I track which posts bring in patients?
Yes. You can create a separate trackable link per channel in the Marketing tab.
