Overview
The beauty score is the centerpiece of the Ageless AI patient experience. It gives each patient their current score versus their potential score, broken down by upper, mid, and lower face, and highlights their strengths, areas to improve, and their skin age compared to their actual age. It is a strong conversation starter going into a consultation.
This article is for practice owners, managers, and admins who want to tailor how that score and the accompanying visualizations appear to patients. Every setting below is managed from the dashboard at admin.ageless.ai.
Before You Start
You need admin access to your Ageless AI dashboard at admin.ageless.ai.
Know which treatments you want to offer, since treatment names and pricing are tied to your catalog.
Decide in advance whether your practice prefers a numbers-forward or a softer, no-numbers presentation, and whether you want to show pricing to patients.
Why It Matters
The beauty score and visualizations shape a patient's first impression and set up the consultation conversation.
Matching the display to your aesthetic, from conservative visualizations to your own treatment terminology, keeps the experience consistent with how your team already talks to patients.
Getting pricing and treatment names right before you publish prevents mismatched expectations that can undermine the consult.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Beauty Score and Skin Age Display
You can turn off the numerical beauty score and skin age if you prefer a softer approach.
Log in to the dashboard at admin.ageless.ai.
Go to Ageless Settings.
Turn off the numerical beauty score and skin age.
With the numbers hidden, the beauty report still shows patients their breakdown across upper, mid, and lower face, just without the numerical values. This option is popular with practices that prefer a softer approach.
Conservative Model
The Conservative Model sets the starting intensity of visualizations to a more subtle level, for example half a syringe of lip filler rather than a full syringe.
Go to Ageless Settings.
Toggle on the Conservative Model.
Patients can still adjust the slider themselves to see more dramatic results. This setting is popular with men's wellness clinics and practices with a more natural aesthetic.
Treatment Names
You can rename any treatment in your catalog to match your practice's terminology, for example renaming "Microneedling" to "Morpheus8," or adding provider names and package details. This keeps the experience consistent with how your team talks about treatments.
Go to the Services You Offer section of the dashboard.
Toggle on the treatment you want to offer.
Once the treatment is toggled on, use the rename option to update its name.
If a treatment is not in the catalog, all treatments go through clinical approval before being added to the platform. You can submit a feature request for new treatments. In the meantime, the best workaround is to rename an existing treatment in the same family to match your terminology, so patients can still see something relevant.
Pricing Display
Pricing display is optional and off by default.
Go to Ageless Settings.
Toggle pricing display on if you want patients to see prices.
Open your Service Catalog from the dashboard to adjust the prices shown.
Replace the pre-populated industry averages with your real pricing before publishing to patients.
Turn pricing on if price transparency is a competitive advantage and you sell services a la carte. If you sell packages or prefer to anchor pricing at consultation, keeping it off tends to work better.
Inputting your real pricing before you publish prevents mismatched expectations during the consult.
Best Practices and Pro Tips
Pro tip: Match the beauty score display to your consult style. Practices that lead with data can keep the numbers on, while those that prefer a gentler conversation can hide them and still show the full face breakdown.
Use the Conservative Model if your patient base responds better to natural, understated results, and let patients drive the slider up if they want to see more.
Rename treatments to mirror the exact language your providers use, including branded device names and package details, so patients recognize what they are seeing.
If you show pricing, audit every price against your real menu before publishing, since the platform pre-populates industry averages that may not match your practice.
Common Mistakes and FAQs
Q: Does hiding the beauty score remove the report entirely?
A: No. Hiding the numerical beauty score and skin age only removes the numbers. The beauty report still shows patients their breakdown across upper, mid, and lower face.
Q: Can patients still see dramatic results if I turn on the Conservative Model?
A: Yes. The Conservative Model only sets a more subtle starting intensity. Patients can adjust the slider themselves to see more dramatic results.
Q: What if the treatment I want is not in the catalog?
A: All treatments go through clinical approval before being added to the platform. Submit a feature request for the new treatment, and in the meantime rename an existing treatment in the same family so patients still see something relevant.
Q: Should I turn pricing on?
A: It depends on your model. Turn pricing on if price transparency is a competitive advantage and you sell services a la carte. If you sell packages or prefer to anchor pricing at consultation, keeping it off tends to work better.
Q: Why is my pricing showing numbers I did not enter?
A: Pricing fields are pre-populated with industry averages. Input your real pricing in the Service Catalog before publishing to patients to prevent mismatched expectations during the consult.
