Handling Common Objections

Below are some of the most common objections you'll get from prospects, along with how we suggest you respond back. If you ever have any other objections that you're unsure of how to respond to, email us at info@replyassist.com, and we'll tell you how to respond!

Tip - save these scripts in your ReplyAssist Inbox as a Quick Response Template (see image below) for re-use in future conversations, too.

"Now isn't a good time."

  1. All good. When might be a better time for me to check back in with you?

"I already have a financial advisor."

  1. Appreciate you letting me know. How long have you been working with them & how'd you two meet, by the way?

  2. Totally fair, almost everyone I connect with already has an advisor - just like some of my other clients. They just wanted to double-check their strategy was the strongest it could be. Would you be open to doing the same?

  3. Totally respect the loyalty (believe me) - some of my other clients do, too. However, they were open minded to make sure they had the best strategy possible. So, any chance you'd be open to a discovery call to see some other ways I'd be able to bring you additional value?

  4. Totally fair, almost everyone I connect with already has an advisor. I’m just here to start a conversation and see if there’s any value I can add. So, is there any way I help help?

"I'm not interested." or "No thanks."

  1. All good. Would you say that's a forever no or just a no for right now?

  2. That's alright. Mind letting me know why? No wrong answers - just curious

"I'm all set"

  1. Great to hear from ya. What do you mean by that?

  2. Appreciate that input. Does it make sense for me to make a note to check back in? Or would I probably be wasting my time with that?

"I don't think we can work together since we don't live in the same area."

  1. I see what you mean! I actually work with clients virtually all the time (meeting for a phone/Zoom call), so location hasn’t been an issue. A lot of them actually like meeting online so they don't need to spend as much time driving back & forth. Would that work for you?

When a prospect hasn't responded to your last 1-2 messages

  1. First name?

    • Put their first name followed by a question mark. Ex: Tom?

  2. Yes/no?

  3. Keep me posted

  4. Let me know

When a prospect hasn't responded to your last 3+ messages

  1. Is it probably a waste of time for me to keep checking in? No wrong answers - let me know

  2. Hey, would you say this isn't a high priority to you? It doesn't seem like you're all too interested in the ways we can make your life easier, so maybe we should hold off on talking?

  3. Figured I’d give this convo one last nudge. Would love to hear back, but no worries either way - I won’t keep following up. Keep crushing it

  4. Still looking for "X"?

    • Replace "X" with whatever you offer
