Items are insured for the value you declare them to be worth at the time of checkout. Reship.com suggests customers purchase insurance for each product's full value to ensure complete coverage in case of damage or loss of your package.

How much does insurance cost?

Insurance costs 3% of the total declared value of the product being shipped. This level covers up to a maximum of $5000.

It is important to note that jewelry and precious stones are restricted to some countries and only insurable up to a maximum of $500. Any shipments of jewelry in excess of the $500 carriage limit will be un-insured and the customer assumes all risk of loss above such limit.

What does my insurance cover?

Insurance covers the damage and/or loss of your package contents during transit only. Insurance does not cover theft after delivery.

  • Reship has the right to refuse claims if packaging or contents are not shipped in boxes that meet ISTA standards and includes ample padding for protection. Ensure additional padding is requested prior to the shipment of your package.

  • Reship may refuse insurance claims if missing documents, photos, or paperwork are not provided within 30 days of claim report.

  • Claims submitted after 30 days of original shipment date, will not be accepted.

**Please note that shipping, duties & taxes are not covered by insurance
