Why do I see a charge called Standard Rate on my Reship invoice?

Packages being shipped from our USA or Canada Warehouses to the UK are subject to VAT, which will be charged at the "Standard Rate". VAT is charged on all goods sent from outside of the UK to a UK address. If VAT is chargeable, it is calculated based on the total package value, including the value of the goods; postage, packaging, insurance, and related services; and any import duties owed. See https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/tax-and-duty for more information.

The VAT exemption for gifts valued under £39 is not applicable when shipping via Reship. This is because Reship is the shipper of record, and, therefore, does not qualify for the exemption which requires items to be sent from an individual. Please visit https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/gifts for more information.
