The Resident Management System (RMS) allows property managers to manage and communicate building notices, such as maintenance schedules, community updates, and important announcements. Follow this step-by-step guide to view and edit building notices in the RMS system.
Step 1: Log in to the Resident RMS System
Open a web browser and navigate to the RMS portal.
Enter your administrator username and password to log in.
Step 2: Access the Building Notices Section
From the dashboard, select the building name from the left hand menu then locate and click on “Broadcast Notices” in the main navigation.
This section will display all active and past notices sent to residents.
Step 3: View Existing Building Notices
Browse through the list of notices in the Notices section.
You can filter notices by date, category, or heading (e.g., active, archived).
To view a specific notice, click on the notice title to see the full details.
Step 4: Edit an Existing Building Notice
In the Notices section, find the notice you want to edit.
Click on the “Edit” button next to the notice you wish to modify.
Make the necessary changes to the notice, such as:
Title
Description or content
Effective dates
Important information (e.g., maintenance schedule, event details).
Step 5: Save and Update the Notice
After making the desired edits, review the changes for accuracy.
Click “Save” to save the edited version of the building notice.
Step 6: Publish or Resend the Notice (Optional)
Once saved, you can choose to publish the updated notice, making it visible to all residents.
To resend the notice to residents, click the “Resend” or “Notify Residents” option, depending on the system’s capabilities.
Step 7: Archive or Delete a Notice (If Needed)
If a notice is no longer relevant, you can withdraw it to remove it from your residents app by selecting "withdraw" under the current notice in the top right corner.
