Overview:

Inviting your team members is crucial to the proper functioning of Restoke as it is a collaborative platform best used by your entire team. Bringing your staff into Restoke allows you to delegate and empower your team to get jobs done the right way.

Please note: Team members can only be invited by Managers and above (see below for roles and permissions).

How to invite Team Members:

  1. Head to the left toolbar, click the gear icon in the bottom left panel > My Team.

  2. In the top right-hand corner click the "+ New Staff Member" button.

  3. Input the staff member's details (First name, Last name, Phone, Email (optional)).

  4. Select all relevant departments for this team member (it is recommended to assign only the relevant departments to avoid clutter on their MyDay).

  5. Decide the Role of the staff member.

    • We have a detailed overview of Roles and Permissions below.

  6. Click the "Add Team Member" button. The staff member will receive an invite to join Restoke via SMS.

    • Ensure they use the link in the SMS sent to complete their signup to your Restoke venue

If you've connected your rostering system to Restoke, please read the following article on how to invite team members in bulk via your integration.

Custom Permissions:

You may wish to allow users with a staff or senior staff role additional custom permissions. By default they cannot access back-end aspects of Restoke but you grant access to some areas via custom permissions.

Once you've invited these staff, click on their profile in My Team and you will see a section to add "custom permissions", such as:

  • Can manage prep lists (view & editing permissions)

  • Can manage procedures (view & editing permissions)

  • Can view recipes and menus (read only permissions)

  • Can manage recipes and menus (view & editing permissions)

  • Can manage stocktakes (launch, view & editing permissions)

💡 Pro Tip #1: Best practice is to have at least 1 staff member with manager status or above per department as they will oversee completion of activities and be notified of any issues. Keep this in mind when sending out invites!

💡 Pro Tip #2: Save time inviting your team by connecting your rostering platform. You can then import your team members to Restoke in a few easy steps.
