When I upload or create a site, what data gets publicly shared?

You control your site's visibility. When you create a site, you decide whether it will be public or private. If you make your site public, you then control which of the scientific data points are shared using visibility toggles.

Step 1: Choose your site visibility

When you upload or create a site, you decide:

  • Public: Your site profile and selected data are visible to all Restor users

  • Private: Your site and all associated data remain visible only to you and your organization

Step 2: Control which scientific data to share (public sites only)

If your site is public, Restor automatically generates scientific data based on your site's location and boundaries, including:

  • Carbon stored

  • Depth to water

  • Land cover

  • Other environmental metrics

You are not required to share all of this data. Use visibility toggles to choose which auto-generated scientific data points appear publicly. You can share some metrics and keep others private.

Remember

Your visibility settings and data toggles can be changed at any time. Start private and publish when you're ready, or adjust your shared data as your project evolves. The choice is entirely yours.
