Where does Restor’s data come from?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Restor uses high-quality, scientifically validated data sources. Every data layer on the platform comes from peer-reviewed research, published scientific journals, expert validation, or other authoritative sources.

How we choose our data

Scientific rigor first. We prioritize data that has been:

  • Peer-reviewed and published in scientific journals

  • Validated by recognized experts in their field

  • Built using transparent, reproducible methodologies

Expert oversight. Our Science Advisory Council reviews and approves all data layers before they're added to the platform. This ensures that every metric, measurement, and data source meets our quality standards.

Find the source of any data

To learn the exact source and methodology behind any piece of data on the platform:

  1. Locate the data display or metric you're interested in

  2. Click the "i" icon in the top corner

  3. You'll see the full reference, methodology, and original source

This transparency helps you understand how data was collected and gives you direct access to the original research. Please refer to this help article for a list of all our data layers.

Data quality and updates

We regularly review and update our data sources as new research emerges. If you have questions about a particular data source or think we should include new scientific data, we'd like to hear from you.
