RB2B operates through a structured four-step process designed to enhance user engagement on your website while upholding privacy and data integrity:
Step 1: Activation & Initial Screening
Script Activation: The RB2B tracking script activates automatically when a visitor arrives on your website. If your site uses CookieYes Cookie Consent, the script will only run after the visitor accepts cookies — ensuring full compliance with privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA. For CookieYes users, this integration is automatic; no manual configuration is required.
Geofence Verification: RB2B performs an initial location check using IP-based geolocation to determine if the visitor is within the United States. This geofence affects identification as follows:
Person-Level Identification: Only visitors confirmed to be located in the U.S. are eligible for person-level identification. If the visitor is outside the U.S., or if they are using a VPN, proxy, or other obfuscation tools, RB2B will not proceed with person-level tracking. This ensures both accuracy and adherence to regional data privacy regulations.
Company-Level Identification (where applicable): While RB2B’s primary focus is on person-level data, in certain scenarios, high-confidence IP-based company identification may still be possible for non-U.S. traffic. However, this is not the core offering, and no personally identifiable information (PII) is ever captured or shared from visitors outside the U.S.
User Qualification: Once the geolocation and consent conditions are met, the visitor undergoes a qualification process. This includes behavioral and technical checks to determine whether they are likely to yield a complete, valuable profile before moving to the identification phase.
Step 2: Information Correlation
Tracking and Identification: RB2B leverages a secure combination of first- and third-party cookies, device IDs, and IP addresses to recognize and track individuals across its network. This correlation process is subject to the visitor’s consent, especially when CookieYes is in use.
Consent-Respecting Activation: If you're using a cookie banner other than CookieYes, you'll need to manually configure it to delay RB2B script execution until after cookie acceptance. Without proper consent, tracking does not initiate.
Step 3: Professional Profiling
Profile Enrichment: Once a visitor is successfully identified, RB2B enhances the matched data with professional insights, including job title, employer, industry, and career history, pulled from LinkedIn and other professional databases.
Focused Identification: RB2B currently identifies and enriches approximately 20–30% of U.S.-based traffic, at an individual contact level. This selectivity ensures the profiles you receive are both relevant and high-value.
Step 4: Value Assessment & Transmission
Validation: Before delivery, RB2B validates each profile to ensure it's both complete and actionable. Incomplete or low-confidence profiles are discarded to maintain quality.
Secure Delivery: Once validated, the enriched profile is securely transmitted to your system. This allows for personalized outreach, better lead scoring, and more focused marketing and sales engagement.
Credit System Compliance: Each identified visitor counts as one credit, and each credit covers a unique visitor for a 30-day period. Your plan includes 12 credits per visitor per year, with additional identification attempts available through overages or plan upgrades, which are prorated. Credit usage and remaining balance are viewable in your dashboard.
This streamlined approach ensures you receive only the most meaningful, privacy-compliant, and high-conversion-ready visitor profiles, helping you maximize your website’s ROI while staying aligned with user trust and legal standards.
