Overview
Purpose
The ReturnLogic-Gorgias integration displays a customer's returns data when it is created or updated, as well as when a response is added. This data is only displayed when the customer's email address matches between ReturnLogic and Gorgias.
Installation steps overview
Generate a ReturnLogic API key for secure exchange of data between your ReturnLogic and Gorgias accounts
Install the Gorgias integration using the ReturnLogic API key generated in the step above
Configure your Gorgias account to display a customer's returns data when creating, updating or adding comments to a Gorgias support conversation (i.e. ticket)
Generate a ReturnLogic API key
From your ReturnLogic account portal, navigate to Settings > Applications > Private
Click the green New Private Application button in the top-right corner
Fill and submit the new private application form
Type in a value of your choice for Application Name; this is simply a name for you to easily identify this private application in the list of all your private applications
Type in a value of your choice for Contact Email; this will be used in case we need to contact you regarding this integration
After submitting this form, you will be presented with an API key
IMPORTANT: Keep this window open or securely save this key as you'll need it in the next step. If you lose this key, you cannot retrieve it, but you can generate a new one by following the steps above again.
Install the Gorgias integration
From your ReturnLogic account portal, navigate to Settings > Integrations
Click Install on the Gorgias card
Click Install on the data access request prompt
โNext, you may be asked to only provide your Gorgias Subdomain. Once submitted, follow the steps below.Fill and submit the Configure form
Your Gorgias Subdomain is the first part of your Gorgias account URL before .gorgias.com (e.g.
my-store
.gorgias.com)Your ReturnLogic Private App API Key is the value generated in the section above, simply copy-paste it into the field
Click Finish Installation
Configure your Gorgias account
From your Gorgias account portal, create a new ticket
In the To: field, type in a customer email address you know has returns data on ReturnLogic
Click Send (in order for returns data to display, a ticket must be created or updated)
In the ticket you just created, click on the cog button (top-right) to edit widgets
On the Manage Widgets page, find the Pull RMA data from RL section
Drag that section to the right-hand column (click and hold on the dots next to the section title to drag and drop)
Optionally, you may customize which data is displayed by hovering over each field
Click Save Changes at the bottom of the right-hand column
