Overview

Purpose

The ReturnLogic-Gorgias integration displays a customer's returns data when it is created or updated, as well as when a response is added. This data is only displayed when the customer's email address matches between ReturnLogic and Gorgias.

Installation steps overview

  1. Generate a ReturnLogic API key for secure exchange of data between your ReturnLogic and Gorgias accounts

  2. Install the Gorgias integration using the ReturnLogic API key generated in the step above

  3. Configure your Gorgias account to display a customer's returns data when creating, updating or adding comments to a Gorgias support conversation (i.e. ticket)

Generate a ReturnLogic API key

  1. From your ReturnLogic account portal, navigate to Settings > Applications > Private

  2. Click the green New Private Application button in the top-right corner

  3. Fill and submit the new private application form

    1. Type in a value of your choice for Application Name; this is simply a name for you to easily identify this private application in the list of all your private applications

    2. Type in a value of your choice for Contact Email; this will be used in case we need to contact you regarding this integration

  4. After submitting this form, you will be presented with an API key

IMPORTANT: Keep this window open or securely save this key as you'll need it in the next step. If you lose this key, you cannot retrieve it, but you can generate a new one by following the steps above again.

Install the Gorgias integration

  1. From your ReturnLogic account portal, navigate to Settings > Integrations

  2. Click Install on the Gorgias card

  3. Click Install on the data access request prompt
โ€‹Next, you may be asked to only provide your Gorgias Subdomain. Once submitted, follow the steps below.

  4. Fill and submit the Configure form

    1. Your Gorgias Subdomain is the first part of your Gorgias account URL before .gorgias.com (e.g. my-store.gorgias.com)

    2. Your ReturnLogic Private App API Key is the value generated in the section above, simply copy-paste it into the field

    3. Click Finish Installation

Configure your Gorgias account

  1. From your Gorgias account portal, create a new ticket

  2. In the To: field, type in a customer email address you know has returns data on ReturnLogic

  3. Click Send (in order for returns data to display, a ticket must be created or updated)

  4. In the ticket you just created, click on the cog button (top-right) to edit widgets

  5. On the Manage Widgets page, find the Pull RMA data from RL section

  6. Drag that section to the right-hand column (click and hold on the dots next to the section title to drag and drop)

  7. Optionally, you may customize which data is displayed by hovering over each field

  8. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the right-hand column

This concludes the installation and configuration of the ReturnLogic-Gorgias integration.
