How Shopify API Integration Works – Setting up Your ReturnLogic Account

Learn how to create an API integration between your Shopify Store and ReturnLogic

Overview:

This article walks through the steps of setting up the ReturnLogic app for your Shopify store.


How it works:

Step 1: Shopify Initial Setup

Creating an App

  1. From Your Shopify Homepage, Navigate to Settings -> Apps and sales channels.

  2. Select "Develop Apps"

  3. Select "Create an app" at the top of the page.

  4. Set the "App Name" as ReturnLogic.

  5. Set the Developer as the person from your company who is in contact with ReturnLogic.

  6. Select "Create App"


Configuration

  1. Once the app has been created, select the "Configuration" tab

  2. Select “configure"

  3. Check all permissions that are listed below

    Note: when you click on the “write” option it will select both read and
    write. If you select on just "read" it will only select read.

  4. Once correct permissions are selected hit "Save"

  5. Then Select “Install app”

    1. ****IMPORTANT****You will be directed to a screen displaying the required information: Please copy the API Key, and Admin API Access Token (Admin API Access Token will be used as your Password).

Step 2: ReturnLogic Initial Setup

  1. From Your ReturnLogic Homepage, Navigate to Settings > Integrations

  2. Select "Add Integration"

  3. Set the Integration Category to "Store"

  4. Set the Integration Type to Shopify

  5. Input the Populated API Key, Password (Admin API Access Token), and URL

  6. Select "Save"

**Please Note: Shopify orders sync with ReturnLogic approximately every 30 minutes. If you have just created an order in Shopify, you will not see it in immediately ReturnLogic instead the order will load into ReturnLogic in approximately 30 minutes.
