Below are the possible reasons for your campaign denial:

3rd Party Widget on Landing Page

  • Unapproved third party widget is on your landing page

Ad Content/Landing Page Mismatch

  • The image and headline you are using is not relevant to the landing page/content you are promoting

Ads That Do Not Work Well

  • Our team has determined the content of your ad is not a good fit for our network. This can be due to many reasons. Some examples of content that would be denied for this reason are adult dating/sex finder offers, unapproved pharmaceuticals, promotion of illegal drugs or materials, etc.

Adult/Inappropriate Ad Copy Image

  • The image you are using to promote your content has been deemed by our team to be inappropriate for our network

Adult/Inappropriate Ad Image-Headline Combination

  • The combination of the image and headline you are using has been deemed to have made the content in total inappropriate

Adult/Inappropriate Landing Page Content

  • The content of your landing page is of a mature or inappropriate manner

Adult/Inappropriate Landing Page Image

  • Image(s) on your landing page are too risqué and have been denied

Back Button Does Not Serve its Intended Purpose

  • Back arrow does not serve its intended function and is instead redirecting the user further into your funnel rather than to the page in which the click occurred

Before & After Image

  • The use of before and after images that imply the success of a product are forbidden.

Content Type/Landing Page Mismatch

  • The content type you have selected does not match the type of content you are promoting. You will need to go into your content settings and select the appropriate option from Article, Video, or App

Copyright - Ad Copy

  • The image in your ad copy is a copyrighted image. Use of this image is strictly forbidden unless you have express written permission to use.

  • An image on your Landing Page is a copyrighted image. Use of this image is strictly forbidden unless you have express written permission to use.

Excessive Content Submission

  • You have submitted too much content and our compliance team was unable to work through them in a timely manner. It is up to the sole discretion of our approvals team to determine when an advertiser has submitted an excessive amount of content and there is no set amount associated to this denial reason

False Geo-Targeting Claims

  • You are using a geo targeting claim that is not accurate or substantiated

Flagged Image - Ad Copy

  • It has been communicated by the subject or owner of the image that you do not have permission to use it.

  • It has been communicated by the subject or owner of the image on your landing page that you do not have permission to use it.

Grotesque/Graphic/Disturbing Ad Copy Image

  • Revcontent does not allow the use of images that our team deems as gross or disturbing. Images that feature blood, obvious injuries, or other unsettling imagery are examples of subjects that would be denied for this reason

Grotesque/Graphic/Disturbing Landing Page Content

  • Revcontent does not allow the use of content that our team deems as gross or disturbing. Images that feature blood, obvious injuries, or other unsettling imagery are examples of subjects that would be denied for this reason

Grotesque/Graphic/Disturbing Landing Page Image

Headline - Capitalized Letters

  • We do not allow the use of all capital letters (ex: This One TRICK…) outside of known acronyms (ex: NASA, FBI, NCAA, etc)

Headline - Formatted Incorrectly

  • Use of incorrect brackets for city targeting, unnecessary spacing, placement of a phone number, or insertion of URL in headline (ex: [city], Watch This Video .)

Headline - Grammatical Error(s)

  • Headlines with incorrect grammar

Headline - Inappropriate Language/Vulgar/Un-Approved Word(s)

  • Any headlines that feature words that are deemed adult, offensive, or are not permitted (ex: expletives, demeaning language, sexual references etc Also use of Trick, Shock, and Cure or any of their variations is not permitted)

Headline - Incomplete Sentence

  • Headline is cut off or partially missing

Headline - Misspelling(s)

  • Any headline with misspelled words

Headline - Un-Approved Characters/Punctuation

  • Excessive use of punctuation or other special characters (ex: !!!, ???, …)

Headline - Use of all Lower Case Letters

  • The first letter of each word in your headline must be capitalized (ex: Looking For New Gift Ideas This Year Click Here)

Headline - Vague or Irrelevant

  • Headlines that leave reader without a clear idea what content it is promoting 

Image Quality

  • Images must be of the highest quality. They cannot contain or be of a blurred, contain text, pixelated, or otherwise low quality nature

Inaccurate Content Branding

  • The brand name you select for your campaign must align to your actual content. Example of what would be flagged for this is the use of Amazon when you are promoting a product via Amazon. Amazon is not connected to your promotion of said product so the use of their brand name would be inaccurate and lead to denial.

Inaccurate Language Targeting

  • Campaigns must target the language used in the headline. Selecting ‘All’ languages is only if your headlines language is not an available option. Additionally, targeting multiple languages will always be denied. 

Inactive Content

  • Previously approved content that not run in over 60 days.

Inappropriate Image of a Child in Ad Copy

  • Revcontent has strict guidelines regarding the use of images containing children. As such any image our team deems to be outside of good taste or a clear example of child abuse, neglect, or other actions not deemed to be appropriate for a child will be denied. (ex: images of children smoking, insinuating a lack of intelligence, anything of a sexual nature etc.)

Malware Detected

  • Virus/Malware software was detected on landing page

Misleading Ad Copy

  • Use of images or headlines that are purposely crafted in a way to trick users in believing something that is inaccurate or false.

Misleading and Deceptive Practices – Claims

  • Unsubstantiated or false claims in headline (ex: I Turned A Penny Into A $100000 Using This System)

Misleading and Deceptive Practices - Unauthorized Branding

  • Use of landing page branding without permission of owner (ex: making your landing page appear to be Fox News, CNN, ESPN, etc.)

Must Select CPC Bid Type

  • Revcontent no longer supports vCPM/retargeting campaigns. As such any older boost that is reactivated/cloned will be denied.

Offer Type Not Allowed In Targeted Geo(s)

  • Specific offer type/niche/vertical is prohibited in targeted geo

Product Page URL Does Not Resolve

  • Product page linked to from your landing page does not load or work.

Testimonials

  • Unsubstantiated 1st and 3rd person testimonials are not permitted (ex: I Lost Weight Using This Product, Jessica Is Waiting To Talk To You)

Text Only Ads

  • Ads with no images

Trademarks - Ad Copy

  • The content in your ad copy is a trademarked material. Use of this material is strictly forbidden unless you have express written permission to use.

  • The content on your landing page is a trademarked material. Use of this material is strictly forbidden unless you have express written permission to use.

URL Does Not Resolve

  • Your landing page is not loading

URL Does Not Resolve - http Missing

  • Http is missing at the front of the link, causing your landing page to not load

User Experience – Headline

  • Any headline our team believes lowers the quality of a user’s experience  (ex: "New ED "Fix" Will Make Your Wife Happy", "Leaves Wives Speechless", indirect claims like: "Melts Belly Fat", "Do This Without Working Out" will also not be permitted)

User Experience – Image

  • Any image our team believes lowers the quality of a user’s experience (ex: people grabbing/pinching their stomach to show fat, any female or couple images for Erectile Dysfunction or Men's Fitness Ads.)
