Creating a Widget

Select the +Create a Site Widget button on the home screen.

Determine the best placement for the widget. Simply hover over the widget you wish to create and click Get Code.

Enter a unique Widget Name including the placement. Ex. Below Article
Specify the Primary Domain URL for the widget.
When creating Widget Headline, be sure to capitalize the first letter of each word.

Set up variables by entering {City}, {State}, and/or {Zip} into the Widget Headline. To view all acceptable variable replacements, simply hover over </> Variables.

Important Note: All individual domains must be approved by our operations team prior to accumulating sponsored ad fill and earning revenue. If you are adding a widget to a new domain, please reach out to your Account Executive after creating your widget so it can be reviewed for approval.

To specify Layout Settings for each device, start by selecting the device type.

Structure: Select how many columns and rows you would like to appear.

Image Ratio: Select your preferred Image Ratio.

Scrolling: If you would like to enable infinite scroll select Infinite Scroll otherwise leave None selected.

  • Structure - 3x2
  • Image Ratio - 1.2:1
  • Scrolling - None

Advanced Options

These are the standard selections when creating a Widget.

These can be altered after widget creation for optimization purposes.

Custom CSS can be added to the widgets by either the Publisher or Ops team. 

Ensure that the correct SSL protocol is being used for the domain

Copy the widget code by selecting the Clipboard button.

If you would like to make revisions to a previously created widget, you can easily do so by selecting the Settings tab and making adjustments as needed. Widget revisions will update live on the your site.

View the widget any time in the Preview tab.

Please allow up to 30 minutes for widget revisions to update.

Cloning a Widget

From the publisher dashboard, you can clone any widget by simply clicking the page icon to the far right.

The Widget Name, Audience Segment and CSS will need to be updated on the new cloned widget.
