Copyable Signup Form Questions

Some events allow — or even require — submitters to complete multiple submissions throughout the event. In these cases, submitters often need to provide the same information (such as name, organization, or contact details) across each entry.

The Copyable Signup Form Questions feature helps streamline this process by automatically copying responses from a submitter’s previous submission into their new one. This saves time for repeat applicants and reduces the chance of inconsistent or missing information.

What This Page Does

The Copyable Signup Form Questions page allows you, as the admin, to control which questions from the signup form can be copied into new submissions. For example, you might choose to copy over answers to contact information fields, organization names, or eligibility details that remain constant across entries.

When enabled, these selected questions will automatically prefill when a submitter starts a new submission, allowing them to quickly review and confirm the information instead of re-entering it.

How to Set Up Copyable Questions

  1. Navigate to the Forms page

  2. Scroll to the Copyable Signup Form Questions section.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. Check the boxes next to the questions you want to carry over from previous submissions.

  5. Click Save when finished.

Only the questions you select here will copy forward when a submitter creates a new submission.

Important Notes

  • The Copyable Signup Form Questions page does not display every question in your form.

  • It only lists questions that are eligible to be copied between submissions.

  • To view, add, or edit all questions in your form, go to the Form Editor. That’s where full form management and configuration occur.

When to Use Copyable Signup Form Questions

Use this feature if your event allows or expects multiple submissions per user and you want to make the process easier for them. Common use cases include:

  • Applicants submitting to multiple award categories

  • Grant applicants applying to several funding opportunities

  • Students or participants submitting multiple projects over time

Avoid using this feature if each submission is meant to be entirely unique or unrelated, as copied data could cause confusion or inaccuracies.
