Using the Same Account for Admin, Reviewer, and Submitter Roles
In Reviewr, users can use the same account credentials to participate in multiple events and roles—including as an Admin, Reviewer, and Submitter. This helps keep all activity organized under one email and account.
How It Works
One account, multiple roles:
A single Reviewr account can be used across different events and roles. For example, an admin for one event can also use the same account to submit an application to a different event, or serve as a reviewer. My Events page:
When using one account across multiple events, users will see all their active events and roles—Admin, Reviewer, and Submitter—displayed together on their My Events page. This makes it easy to access everything from one place.
Invitations and Existing Accounts
Using the same account across roles and events will not cause any issues when inviting or adding users:
If an admin or reviewer is invited and already has a Reviewr account, they will be taken to the login page instead of the set password page, and will automatically gain access to the new event.
If a submitter is returning with an existing account from a previous event, they can simply log in with their existing credentials to start a new submission.
Important Exceptions
Admin testing the microsite:
If an admin uses their own admin credentials to go through the microsite of the same event they manage, they won’t experience the full submitter view. To test the applicant experience, it’s recommended to use a separate email or test account.Check out our event testing article for specific instructions on creating test accounts!
Admin as Reviewer in the same event:
Admins can also be assigned as reviewers within the same event. However, if Hide Judge Visibility is enabled, the admin’s higher-level permissions will override reviewer restrictions, allowing them to see all aspects of the submissions.
Best Practice
It’s encouraged to use the same account across all events and roles in Reviewr. This ensures everything you participate in—administration, reviewing, and applying—is visible in one convenient location.
