Managing Multiple Accounts in Reviewr

It’s possible for users to have more than one account in Reviewr—sometimes unintentionally. This can happen when a user registers with different email addresses across events, or when multiple email addresses are linked to a single account.

Common Scenarios

1. Multiple accounts with different emails
A user may have separate accounts for each email address they’ve used to participate in Reviewr. For example:

  • An admin uses one email for administrative purposes and another to submit or review.

  • A reviewer signs up for a new event with a different email instead of logging in with an existing one.

2. One account with multiple emails tied to it
Sometimes an account can end up with multiple email addresses linked to it, which may cause login confusion or access issues.

3. Duplicate invitations or event access issues
When a user has multiple accounts, it can sometimes result in:

  • Invitations being sent to the wrong account

  • Users unable to access assigned submissions or events

  • Difficulty tracking or viewing all events under one login

How to Fix It

If you or one of your users have multiple Reviewr accounts, the Reviewr Support Team can help merge or remove duplicate accounts.

  • To delete an unused account, reach out to the Reviewr team via the in-app chat.

⚠️ Important: Once an account is deleted, any past submissions or data within that account cannot be recovered.

  • If an account has multiple email addresses tied to it, a Reviewr team member can untie the extra emails so that only one email remains connected to the account.

Best Practices

  • Always use the same email address for all Reviewr activities (admin, reviewer, or submitter).

  • Before creating a new account, check whether you already have an existing one by attempting to log in or using the “Forgot Password” option.

  • Encourage reviewers and submitters to use the same email for all Reviewr-related events to keep access simple and centralized.
