Evaluator Portal Overview

The Evaluator Portal is where reviewers (judges) log in to view and score all submissions assigned to them. It provides an organized workspace designed to make the evaluation process clear, efficient, and consistent.

Accessing Evaluations

When reviewers log in, they will see a list of all submissions they have been assigned to evaluate. Each submission includes its status and access to begin or continue scoring. Once a reviewer starts an evaluation, additional features and tools become available.

Evaluation Workspace Layout

When an evaluation is opened by clicking the paper and pencil "Edit" icon, the screen is divided into two panels:

  • Left Panel: Displays the submission form being evaluated.

  • Right Panel: Displays the evaluation scorecard used to enter scores and feedback.

This side-by-side layout allows reviewers to easily reference submission details while completing their evaluation.

Submission Form Tabs

Above the submission form (left side), reviewers have access to several tabs:

  • Form:
The main tab where reviewers view the applicant’s responses to the submission form.

  • Attachments:
Displays all files uploaded within the submission form. Reviewers can open and review these attachments as part of their evaluation.

  • Notes:
Allows reviewers to leave personal notes or share notes with other reviewers (reviewers must check that they would like to share with other reviewers for them to be visible).

Notes are only visible to reviewers and admins — submitters cannot see them.

  • Comments:
Used for leaving questions or comments directed toward admins or submitters.

Submitters can view comments here if the feature is enabled in Configuration. (admin must enable in Configuration)

  • Supplemental:
Displays any supplemental forms connected to the main submission. Reviewers can view the full supplemental submission to provide additional context for scoring.

Viewing Submissions

When reviewers choose to view a submission instead of editing it, additional options become available:

  • Tabs on the Left:

    • Form

    • Submitters

    • Attachments

    • Supplemental Forms

  • Options on the Right:
A dropdown area where reviewers can access:

    • Questions/Comments

    • Notes

    • All evaluations required for that specific submission

    • Any custom labels tied to the submission

Summary

The Evaluator Portal is the central hub for reviewers to complete evaluations, access submission materials, collaborate through notes and comments, and manage all assigned reviews efficiently. As an admin, understanding these features helps you support reviewers, configure visibility settings, and ensure a smooth evaluation process.
