Admin - How do I delete a submission?

For admins who need a submission fully removed — there is a bulk action for deleting submissions

Often our admins are creating test submissions in order to verify the look and functionality of their submission forms and/or evaluation process. If you don't want these submissions to clutter your view or accidentally be considered for evaluation assignment, you can change the status of the submission as "Closed" or you can delete the submission.

Before you start

  • Confirm you want the submission deleted, not just hidden from reviewers. If you only want it out of the review queue, changing its status or group assignment may be enough without involving the Reviewr team.

  • Once a submission is deleted, it takes a special request from the Reviewr team to recover. As a result, this should only be used when the closed status is not efficient enough for your use case.

Steps

  1. In the left-hand menu, click Data Management and select Submissions.

  2. On the Submissions page, tick the box next to the submission you want deleted. To check it's the right one first, open it with the eye icon.

  3. In the bottom-left Bulk Actions dropdown, choose Delete Submission(s).

I have two duplicate submissions from the same person and want one gone

To remove a duplicate submission, mark the duplicate as Closed. Marking a submission with this status easily indicates which submissions will not be considered for evaluation and it prevents this submission from being assigned to a reviewer .

If you only need the duplicate out of the review queue, marking it Closed is enough on its own.

I don't see Delete Submission(s) in the Bulk Actions dropdown

Your account doesn't have permission to delete submissions yet. Ask the Reviewr team in the in-app chat to add the delete-submission permission to your account. Once it's added, the Delete Submission(s) option appears in the Bulk Actions dropdown.
