Admin - Adding/Moving Form Questions

Inside our form builder, we have many features to help admins add, copy, and move questions more quickly throughout the form and across all pages within the form. This article explains how to put them to use for your own for your own program's forms.

This guide demonstrates how to add, duplicate, move, and delete form fields within the Reviewr form builder. Use these techniques to efficiently organize and edit both your submission and evaluation forms.

Adding/Moving Questions

To add a question, you can hover over an existing question and click the "+" button above or below the existing question to place the new question in that location. There is also a green "add question" button in the upper, right corner of the form.

You can always move the question to any other location on the form by hovering over the question and using the up and down arrow buttons. This will move the question one spot up or one spot down on each click.

Alternatively, you could use our "cut" feature which essentially works like a normal text cut where you can remove the question from it's current location and place it elsewhere on the form as well as between pages. To do this, hover over the question you wish to move and click the "Cut" button represented by a scissors icon.

Once you have chosen which question you wish to cut, you can see that there will be a grey box around the question to show you what question you have chosen to move. A dialogue box will also appear indicating all the parts of the question you have cut and what the question looks like.

Copying Questions

You can also utilize our copy feature on any question type. This creates a copy of that question, including any configuration settings or visibility conditions within the question and allows you to place the copied question anywhere on the form, including across different pages.

Once you have chosen to copy a question, you can see that there will be a grey box around the question to show you what question you have chosen to copy. A dialogue box will also appear indicating all the parts of the question you have copied and what the question looks like.

Navigate to the area of the form where you want to place this coped question. Click "Paste" under or above an existing question to decide where your newly copied question should be placed.

Once you paste a copied question, the title of the new question will have "(Copy)" appended after the question text. This is to indicate to the user which question is the copy. The question you copied can be copied multiple times and to copied multiple places within the form, which is why you will continue to see the option to paste.

Once you are done copying the question, you can click the "Clear" button to finish the copying process. At this point, you can edit the question text to remove the "(Copy)" text and/or edit it to be whatever text you would like to best represent the question.
