How do I assign a Judge/Reviewer the Manager Role?

If you want a reviewer or judge to help manage a specific group of submissions—without giving them full admin access—you can assign them the Manager role. Managers have elevated permissions that allow them to perform many admin-level actions, but only within the group they’re assigned to.

This can be especially helpful if your event has multiple categories, divisions, or panels that are managed independently by different individuals.

Where to Assign Managers

Go to the Groups and Divisions page in your admin dashboard. This is where you create and manage groups, and where you can assign judges/reviewers as group Managers.

To assign a Manager to a group:

  1. Locate the group you want to assign a manager to.

  2. Click "Assign Manager."

  3. A list of reviewers will appear—check the box next to the name(s) of the reviewer(s) you want to assign.

  4. Save your changes.

What a Manager Can Do

Once assigned, Managers will be able to:

  • View and manage all submissions within that group

  • Assign or reassign reviewers to submissions in their group

  • Leave internal notes and questions

  • Monitor submission statuses

  • Access evaluations and results

They cannot see or manage submissions outside of their assigned group, and they do not have access to Event Configs, Form Builders, or other global admin settings.

Assigning a Manager is a great way to delegate responsibilities and streamline oversight across your program without giving up full control.
