Before You Begin
To use the assignment tools, make sure that all submissions you wish to assign are placed in a group.
This means Accepted submissions must be added to at least one group—or to multiple groups if your review process requires separate tracks or divisions.
Without submissions assigned to a group, you won’t be able to access them in the Manage Assignments tool, and reviewers won’t be assigned.
How to Assign Submissions to Reviewers
Navigate to Groups & Divisions under the Data Management clipboard icon.
Click Manage Assignments next to the group you want to manage.
You’ll see two tabs:
Submissions tab: shows fully submitted submissions.
Reviewers tab: shows assigned submissions per reviewer.
Note: By default, only Accepted submissions are visible for reviewer assignment. You can change this in Event Config > Judge Settings to allow other statuses to be visible.
Manual Assignment
Manual assignment works the same as before:
Use checkboxes to select submissions or reviewers.
Assign as needed using the dropdown menu options.
Auto-Assign Reviewers
Go to the Submissions tab and select one or more submissions using the checkboxes.
Open the dropdown menu and select Auto-Assign Reviewers, then click GO.
Enter a minimum and maximum number of reviewers per submission.
Click Auto-Assign to complete.
Assign All Submissions to All Reviewers
To assign every submission in a group to every reviewer:
In the Submissions tab, select all submissions using the checkboxes.
Choose Assign All from the dropdown.
Click GO to apply the assignment to all reviewers.
You’ll then see the Submissions Tab and the Reviewers Tab with a hit list below:
The Submissions tab will display only fully submitted submissions.
NOTE: by default, submissions must be in the Accepted status to be visible to reviewers. You can adjust this setting from your Event Configs page under the "Judge Settings" tab to enable other submission statuses to be visible to reviewers.
New Admin Search Filter: Reviewer Assignments
A new search tool is now available in the Manage Submissions page that helps you filter submissions based on how many reviewers are assigned:
Less than
Greater than
Equal
Between
You can enter a number with any of these filters to quickly find:
Submissions with no reviewers
Unevenly assigned submissions
Over- or under-assigned entries
This feature helps ensure fairness and clarity when managing reviewer workload.
