Our UGC feature is made up of two sections, Gallery and Publish. If you're looking for the Publish feature, please click here!

UGC - Gallery allows you to interact with influencers who are mentioning your business online, use images & videos from your product reviews and upload your own content. Whenever Instagram users mention your company in a post or a new photo review comes through, the image will appear in this list.

You're able to request image rights for any posts which you can then use in your marketing materials.

Real user-generated Instagram content can be so beneficial for your brand and this tool allows you to leverage it to its fullest potential

How to use UGC - Gallery

The beauty of our UGC Gallery is that you don't need to have your Facebook/ Instagram connected as you can also use any UGC from your Product reviews.

If you have not linked to your Facebook account before using UGC - Gallery then you will see the below message 👇

Once your account is connected, you will see a list of posts by Instagram users who have mentioned your brand and if you have any images included in your Product Reviews then these will also show.

Note: The Photo Gallery is listed by date_created so you are aware of new images and request permission for all!

Note: Images, where you are "tagged" on Instagram, will not show in the UGC feature, only mentions.

Requesting Image Rights

To use customer images in your marketing, you'll need to get their permission. UGC - Gallery gives you a quick and simple way to do this.  Simply locate the post whose image you wish to use, and click the Request Permission button.  The poster will be notified by Instagram and will be able to grant permission within Instagram.

Once permission is granted, you'll be able to activate those images for use in your own UGC: Publish widget on-site, allowing you to add UGC to your site and turn customer pictures into shoppable galleries.

Note: You will need to have at least 14 images toggled as 'ON' for the Publish widget to be available!

To use an image, toggle it On using the toggle button on an approved post.

Upload Content 🌠

You are able to upload your own Photos & Videos, which may have been sourced elsewhere. To do this, you need to click on the "Upload an Image or Video" button at the top right. (Note, We recommend uploading photos and videos that are 1080 x 1080px).

Tagging 🏷

If reviews or Instagram photos include products, you have the option to tag the products and create a "Shoppable UGC Widget".

To begin tagging your images, click on the image you wanted to tag and then click directly on the image from the pop-up.

This will then allow you to search and select a product. Once selected, the product will show as tagged.

Now when this image shows within the UGC widget on your site, customers can click 'Shop now' on the product tagged and be directed to that particular product page.

Note: Your review videos will play, however, Instagram videos are fetched as still images!

Categories

This section allows you to add particular categories from your site.

Once a category is added, this particular image will only show on that specific page and you can choose to add more than one category if you wanted the image to show on multiple pages.

Filters

You can filter the images using the search bar, or by using:

  • Status

  • Order By

  • Media Type

  • Permission Status

  • Products

Using the 'More' button, you have the ability to:

  • Add a post that is not in the gallery.

  • Begin building your Publishable Gallery.

Videos 🎬

Video content is also supported within the UGC bolt-on. This will take video content from Instagram, Reviews or Content that you have uploaded. The features that have previously been mentioned, such as Tagging, also work with videos.
