There are times when a patient’s name or address on file with their Insurance can differ from the name or address that is listed in your EHR/PMS. This can happen if a patient has moved recently or if their insurance is under a Primary that is at a different state, have updated their name, or have a nickname listed in their Patient Chart.

To ensure that Aloha is providing benefits that are accurate for your patients, if there are any discrepancies and/or differences between the Insurance provided Name or State and what is listed in their patient chart, you are going to see an Action Required notification next to their Eligibility Search!

How to Verify A Patient’s Demographics

  1. Click the Action Required button next to the patient’s search result

2. Click the Verify Patient button on the pop-up stating Patient cannot be matched

3. Verify the patient by clicking on their name and selecting Connect patient to EHR and confirming! *The EHR address section will show what is within your system for the patient while the Insurance Address will be what is on file for that Insurance*
