Let's say a patient paid an Invoice, but for whatever reason you now need to refund them. Let's submit a Chargeback for that patient! Here's how to do it:
To submit a Chargeback, locate the desired Invoice by either going to the Financials tab of the Patient Profile or by searching the patient on the Invoices Tab. In the same grey box that you took the payment, hover your mouse near the form of payment taken on the Invoice to locate the blue minus sign, as shown below:
Click that minus sign to officially submit the chargeback. This will allow you to refund the patient the desired amount back to the same form of payment used. From there, you can enter in the amount that needs to be returned back:
Once you click SUBMIT CHARGE BACK, you can then remove the line item on the invoice, or take a new payment to bring that patient's balance back to zero.
