Clerk and Review Wave go together like peanut butter and jelly, and understanding how both platforms communicate can help you understand who to reach out to when you need assistance. There are three particular ways that Clerk and Review Wave communicate with each other, and that is through: Texting, Online Scheduling, and Forms. Let’s break it down! 🤩

Texting

Clerk gives you the opportunity to communicate with patients directly in a patient’s Patient Profile, located here in the screenshot below:

Selecting the Message Icon here will pull up your Messaging screen on the right side of your screen. From here, you can draft texts that Review Wave will send on your behalf as soon as you click SEND MESSAGE.

Once you send that Message, you can head over to the Contact History located in the Patient Profile:

Here, you can keep track of your outgoing communication in Clerk, sent through Clerk. Think of your Contact History as a way to Log communication with Patients and to add Internal Notes on. In Review Wave, you should be able to view your incoming messages and continue communication with patients there.

Online Scheduling

Online Scheduling is a huge perk to connecting Clerk with Review Wave, especially when you can allow patients to schedule Appointments themselves! There are two ways that patients can schedule themselves through Review Wave:

  1. New Patients typically schedule through Review Wave’s Online Scheduler Form that is placed on your clinic’s Website.

  2. Existing Patients typically schedule through Review Wave’s Scheduling App.

Once a patient schedules, you should see those Appointments reflected anywhere in Clerk you can see Appointments: the Schedule Tab, the Practice Manager (if it is the day of), and the Appointments Tab of the Patient Profile.

Note:✨ Review Wave should read Appointment Types, Providers, and Rooms created in Clerk. If you do not see these reflected in Review Wave, their Customer Support Team should be able to guide you on how to get that information reflected in Review Wave!

Forms

Allowing patients to fill out their Intake Forms before they enter the office is a game changer for several clinics - especially when those Intake Forms can populate directly into their EHR! So, how does it work? Review Wave will recreate your Form digitally. From there, Clerk can pull your patient’s demographics:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Date of Birth

  • Sex*

  • Email Address

  • Phone Number

  • Address

*This is different than Gender in Clerk, which you can specify in the Patient Profile.

The Form itself should save as a PDF in the Files section of the Patient Profile:

For assistance at Review Wave, you can either chat in just like you would with Clerk, call them at 800-563-0469, or email them at Support@ReviewWave.com. 😎
