They say time is money, and we couldn't agree more! Pulling SOAP Notes from a patient's previously Completed Appointment with a simple click of a button can save a Provider time and speed up the efficiency of an Appointment. This is known as SALT-ing Notes - with SALT standing for Same As Last Time. Let's show you how to do it!
β¨Note:β¨ The patient must first have an Appointment with a Completed status in order to SALT Notes.
The SALT All button, located next to the In Treatment button on the Outcome screen, will pull SOAP Notes, adjusted areas on the Spine, Line Items with their CPT and ICD-10 Codes, and Treatment Dates from the same Appointment Type that the patient has been seen with.
For example, if your patient came in for an Adjustment on Monday and a Massage on Wednesday, and then the next week only came in for an Adjustment, your SOAP Notes for the Adjustment should not pull from anything from the Massage!
The Hotkeys, located next to the search bar, provide keyboard shortcuts that will allow you to SALT specific parts of the Appointment, such as Diagnosis Codes, Listings, Line Items/Charges, or Everything.
If you'd like to pull in SOAP Notes and Treatment information from a different appointment type (such as a Report of Findings into a regular appointment), SALT From will allow you to choose which Completed Appointment that you would like to SALT from.
Don't feel like pressing buttons to SALT your Appointment Types? We got you! Head over to Settings > Location Settings > Appointment Types. Choose any Appointment Types that you would like to automatically SALT once a patient has checked in!
