Careplans are a wonderful way to keep track of Services that a patient is using, however, there may be times where you have to manually add or subtract Services without an Invoice. Let’s get those Careplans updated!
To update a patient’s Careplan, head to the Patient Profile and find their Careplan tab. Click the Pencil Icon to edit the Careplan under the Actions Column:
A window on the right hand side should pop up that shows you what Products/Services are associated with that Careplan. Here, you can adjust the number of Services in the Careplan and edit the Start Date or End Date of the Careplan, as well as add any related patients that would like to share the Services in the Careplan:
✨Note:✨ It is important to point out that updating a Careplan in this manner will not tie any subtractions of Services to an Invoice and/or Appointment. If you are sending this information to Insurance, HSAs, HRAs, or Personal Injury cases, you will need these Services tied to an Appointment-Associated Invoice to carry over any Diagnosis and/or Treatment Codes relevant to the Appointment.
If everything looks good, click Update Patient Careplan at the bottom!
