We are assuming that you activated your account and set up your integration.
If you did not yet, please do that now.

For easier navigation back to this article, we suggest you open the links below in a new tab/page.

Getting started

First time integration

Section 1: Granting access to your website(s)

Choose the website(s) which will display your Revisual calendar(s) or event alert(s). Here is the article you need: https://help.revisual.io/en/articles/9046252-revisual-io-managing-your-websites

If everything has gone well, you will see a screen like this one.

Now, you are ready to create your first calendar or event alert.

Section 2: Creating your first calendar or event alert

You will be able to customize the design, look, and feel of your calendar or event alert.
The basic steps are: Widgets --> Calendars (or) Event Alerts --> Create new

Calendar Views

Event Alert

Step 1: If you do not see the dropdown menu under Widgets, click on Widgets to open the menu.

Section 3: The Setup tab

Calendars

Event Alerts

In the Setup tab, you tell Revisual about your filtering and settings.

In the Setup tab, you tell Revisual about where and how the event alert should appear.

Name & Integration: The name of your calendar view. The integration you chose (Google).

Import Calendar Settings:

This tool allows you to import all applicable settings from a selected calendar and apply them to this calendar. It will also change the behaviour settings.

Website: Choose the website on which you wish to display the event alert. To do this, you must have previously told Revisual about your website(s): https://help.revisual.io/en/articles/9046252-revisual-io-managing-your-websites

Section 4: The Design tab

The number of sections depends on the view chosen.

In each section, you can turn things off and on.

You can also choose things such as color, font, and number of events to display.

For help, hover near the design feature name. If there is more info, a blue 'i' will appear (see image above) and a tooltip will display. Click on the 'i' to go to a help desk article giving more information about the design item (if there is one...some design items are self-explanatory).

There is also a Settings search. Type in a keyword or key phrase to search for design items.

When you are finished designing your calendar, click on Save.

Section 5: Publishing your calendar or event alert

Publish your calendar or event alert in the Install tab.

Step 1: Click on Install (blue box below).

Step 2: Toggle on the Make this widget available to others button. It will turn blue.

If it is an event alert, you will see this:

Click on the blue Install button.

Hosted Link and Redirection

Open this section to find a sharable URL. Send via email, social, mobile app or any instant message app.

You will also find the option for link redirection: redirect users to the website where your widget is embedded. This enhances your site's page views and engagement.

QR Code for Calendars

Open this section to find an automatically generated QR code. Revisual creates this as soon as you publish your calendar. You can download or screenshot this code to use it in posters and social media promotions to enhance visibility.

Embedding your widget

Section 7: Creating additional calendar views

CALENDARS

Once a calendar is created, it is not possible to change its format. In other words, you cannot change a full calendar to events view, neither could you change a cards (list) to a cards (grid) view.

To enable other views, simply click on +Create new (purple arrow in image below), choose the view you want, and proceed as in section 2 above, Creating your First Calendar or Event Alert.

Event Alerts

To enable other alerts, simply click on +Create new Calendar (purple arrow in image below), select the event alert temple, and proceed as in section 2 above, Creating your First Calendar or Event Alert.
