Integrating Google Chat with Revlitix allows your team to receive real-time notifications directly within a designated Google Chat space. This ensures timely updates and enhances team collaboration.
Step 1: Choose Google Chat as a Notification Platform
Log in to your Revlitix account.
Go to the Notifications section under the Settings module.
Click Add Notification.
In the Platform dropdown, select Google Chat.
Paste your Webhook URL in the space provided (see steps below to generate it).
Step 2: Create a Webhook URL in Google Chat
To receive notifications in a Google Chat space, you’ll need to set up a webhook:

Step 2.1: Open Google Chat
Go to your Gmail account linked with your organization.
Click Chat from the navigation panel.
Step 2.2: Create a New Space
Click New Chat.
Select Create a space.
Fill in the following details:
Space Name: Give your space a name that clearly reflects its purpose.
Description (optional): Add context so members understand why the space was created.
Enter the name or Email of a person or group: Add the names or email addresses of the users you wish to add to the group. When the URL is created at the end of this process is given in the notifications platform.
The URLs given in the Platform will receive notifications from the system.
Space access: The User can restrict access to only the members by clicking 'Restricted.'
If the User opts for 'Revlitix,' access is given to anyone with a Revlitix account to join the group to receive notifications.
Create button: Click the 'Create' button to create a group of team members to receive notifications.
Step 2.3: Set Access Level
Choose one of the following:
Case 1: Restricted Access
Select Restricted if you want only invited members to access the space.
Other users will not be able to join using a link.
Case 2: All of Revlitix
Select Revlitix to allow anyone from your Revlitix organization to join with a link.
Click Copy link to share the invite with others.
Step 2.4: Generate the Webhook URL
After the space is created, go to space settings.
Set up an Incoming Webhook and copy the generated Webhook URL.
Step 3: Finalize Setup in Revlitix
Paste the Webhook URL into the corresponding field under the Google Chat platform in Revlitix.
Click Save in the top-right corner to activate the notification.
