Preparation

The integration of the Thule awning with the Node TwoWay requires adjustments to the power supply and the control unit. The connection enables flexible operation of the awning without removing the control box.

Step-by-step instructions

1. Adjust the power supply

- Disconnect the control unit: Remove the existing power supply to the control unit.

- Connect the node: Connect the power supply to the Node TwoWay.

- Establish intermediate supply: Prepare a cable to supply the control unit with power via the node.

2. Change the switch wiring

- Remove switches: Disconnect the existing switches from the control unit. Note the order of the connections.

- Make a new cable connection:

- Output L of the node is connected to connection 1 on the control unit.

- Output R of the node is connected to connection 3 on the control unit.

3. Connect the external switch

- Prepare a new cable to connect the external switch to the node.

- The order of the switch connections must be identical to the original wiring on the control unit.

4. Configure the node

- Set the node so that both sides are configured as push-buttons.

- The external switch must also be configured as a push-button.

Important notes

- Retain the control box: The control box of the Thule awning must not be removed, as it is still required to control the awning.

- Observe the sequence: Pay close attention to maintaining the order of the connections to avoid malfunctions.

This configuration enables safe and convenient control of the Thule awning via the Node TwoWay.
