LTE-M is a mobile communications standard that is focussed on the networking of devices or is best suited for the networking of devices. The standard belongs to the Low Power Wide Area Networks, which primarily means high network coverage with low energy consumption. The standard was developed for IoT (Internet of Things) applications.

The standard is therefore also ideally suited to the REVOTION system, as it allows data volumes to be transmitted efficiently and in a power-saving manner, minimising the load on the camper or boat's energy system.

As a result, large amounts of data such as video cannot be transmitted via LTE-M using this standard.
