When you sign up for Rewaa, the main account is activated with full permissions, including the ability to add users. In this article, you’ll learn how to add and manage
user accounts on the platform.
What is a User Account?
A user account is a sub-account you create for your employees to let them use the platform with specific permissions. Examples include: Manager, Warehouse Manager, Order Management Officer, Cashier, and more.
⚠️ Note: As the main account holder, do not share your username or password with employees to ensure the security of your account and business operations.
Add a New User Account
Go to Settings > Users > Add New User.
Enter the following details:
Username
Phone number
Email (used to log in; cannot be changed later)
Assigned Location
Click Add New User.
The user will receive an SMS with a link to create their password. The user’s status will remain Pending until they set a password.
Assign User Permissions
Choose one of the suggested roles, or select Custom:
Manager: Full access to all platform features except POS.
Warehouse Manager: Access to purchase invoices, returns, transfers, inventory counts, suppliers, and supplier payments.
Order Manager: Access to sales invoices, online store orders, customers, and customer payments.
Custom: Manually assign permissions.
Edit User Details
Go to Settings > Users > ⚙️ > Edit User.
Update the details as needed.
Click Save Custom User.
Deactivate a User Account
Go to Settings > Users > ⚙️ > Deactivate User.
Click Confirm. The user’s status will change to Inactive, and they will no longer be able to log in.
To reactivate, select Activate User.
FAQs
1. Can I change a user’s email?
No, emails cannot be changed. You can deactivate the account and create a new user with a different email.
2. Can I hide the username from invoices?
No, the username will always appear on invoices issued by that user.
3. Will the username change on past invoices if I edit it?
No, past invoices will still show the original username.
4. Is there a limit to the number of users I can add?
Yes, the number of users depends on your subscription plan. For details, check the Rewaa pricing page.
5. How does a user know their permissions?
The available sections will appear in their sidebar menu based on assigned permissions.
6. Can I delete a user permanently?
No, users cannot be permanently deleted, but you can deactivate them.
7. I forgot my password, what should I do?

8. When do user permissions update?
Permissions update immediately after clicking Save changes.
9. I added a new user, but they didn’t receive the SMS?
Check that the phone number is correct.
Go to Settings > Users.
Click ⚙️ > Send New Link.
