Certain businesses focus on providing services to customers rather than selling physical products. These services involve applying skills and knowledge in specific fields, such as management, legal, financial, accounting consulting, or real estate services. Additionally, in the retail sector, services like laundry, ironing, gift wrapping, and coordination are common. Unlike physical products, services are not tied to quantities or stock. Rewaa enables adding such services by activating the Disable Stock Management option, which indicates that the item has no quantity or cost but is a service offered to customers.

Disabling Stock Management

To enable the Disable Stock Management option, follow these steps:

  1. Add the product in the inventory section:
    Navigate to Products & Inventory > Products > New Product and choose either Single Product or Multi-Variant Product.

  2. Enable the Disable Inventory Management Option:

    • Check the box for Disable Inventory Management in the product settings.

    • Upon activation, the Cost and Quantity fields will be automatically disabled.

ℹ️ This feature is primarily used for service-based products that do not have measurable physical inventory. For instance, consulting or maintenance services do not require tracking quantities, and their initial costs are variable, making cost tracking impractical or inaccurate.

⚠️ If a product has previously been added with a specific quantity and cost, enabling Disable Stock Management will deactivate these fields. To re-add quantity and cost data later:

Uncheck the Disable Stock Management option and input the data through purchase invoices, Or delete the product and re-add it.

  1. Can I disable Stock management if I don’t need it?

    • Yes, for example, if your business is a restaurant using Rewaa for sales invoicing and expense tracking without stock management, you can add all products and activate the Disable Stock Management option.

  2. Can a product with disabled Stock management be added to a composite product?

    • Yes, the cost and quantity of the composite will be calculated based on the items included.

  3. Can batch or lot numbers be tracked for a product with disabled Stock management?

    • No, disabling Stock management removes quantity tracking, so batch or lot tracking is not possible.

  4. Can net income be calculated for products with disabled Stock management?

    • Unfortunately, no. Disabling inventory management deletes cost data, making it impossible to calculate net income. We encourage you to share this suggestion via the feedback platform.

  5. Will a product with disabled Stock management appear in purchase invoices?

    • No, disabling Stock management removes quantity tracking, so such products will not appear when issuing new purchase invoices.
