The Products Section (Inventory) in the Rewaa platform is where all products and services are added and managed. Occasionally, you might need to delete a product due to errors in the entered data or to reorganize the product listing.

Important Notes Before Deletion

⚠️ Deleting products has significant impacts:

  1. Variable Products: Deleting a Variable product removes all associated types and their quantities from the inventory.

  2. Products Sold in Packages: Deleting these products will also delete all their quantities.

  3. Purchase Invoices: Deleting a product breaks its link with purchase invoices. This means that quantities won't automatically update, even if the product is re-added with the same SKU. Manual adjustments are required.

  4. Return Orders (Purchase Refunds): Deleting a product breaks its link with return orders. To return quantities of a deleted product, re-add it to the inventory with the same SKU and manually adjust its quantities.

Steps to Delete Products

For Products Included in a Bundle:

  • Navigate to: Products & Inventory > Products

  • Click the three dots under the Actions column for the product.

  • Select Edit Product.

  • Click the 🗑️ Delete icon and save changes.

  • Complete the deletion process.

For Single or Multiple Products:

  • Go to: Products & Inventory > Products

  • Select the checkbox (✔) for the product(s) you wish to delete.

  • Click on Actions > Delete.

  • To delete all products in the current view, select the checkbox at the top right to highlight all products on the page.


FAQs

  1. Does deleting a product affect previous sales records?
    No, deleting a product from the inventory does not impact past sales records.

  2. If I delete a product and re-add it with the same SKU, will quantities restore automatically?
    No, quantities must be manually adjusted after re-adding the product.

  3. Can I re-add a deleted product with the same SKU?
    Yes, but the new product will not be linked to the deleted one, and past data will remain independent.

  4. Can I delete a product linked to an unpaid purchase invoice due to an error in entering the cost price?
    Yes, you can delete the product Once a purchase invoice is completed, the product details are immediately reflected in the Products section, regardless of whether the supplier has been paid. If you need to delete a product to correct the cost or fix a data error, you can remove the product and re-add it with the same SKU, manually adding all the details.

  5. Can I process a sales return for a deleted product?
    Yes, you can process the return, but inventory and reports will not reflect the returned quantity since the product no longer exists in the inventory. Example: If you sell 10 units of a product (Water) and then delete the product, returning the invoice will not adjust the sold or returned quantities in the reports because the product no longer exists.

  6. How can I return quantities for a deleted product to a supplier?
    Re-add the product with the same SKU, manually adjust its quantity, and proceed with the return order.

  7. Will deleting a product remove it from linked e-commerce platforms (Salla, Zid)?
    No, deleting a product only removes it from Rewaa’s inventory. The product will still exist on the linked platform.

  8. Can I delete all products in the inventory at once?
    You can delete up to 100 products at a time by selecting them from the bottom of the page and proceeding with deletion.
